We collaborate with you

Thank you very much for your interest in our city, Donostia/San Sebastián. We will be happy to assist you in whatever way we can to help make your article a success. To ensure the best possible cooperation we kindly ask you to read the following terms of participation:

Fill out the application form

We receive many press trip requests throughout the year and in order to properly evaluate your application it is important that you fill out the form with your media outlet’s details and audience profile. The publication of the article must be confirmed by the media outlet in order to participate in a press trip.

Prepare your press trip in advance

Please let us know that you want to collaborate with us well in advance so that we can prepare the itinerary, contact the tourism resources, make reservations, etc. We ask that you submit your application at least six weeks in advance. 

Letter of accreditation

We usually ask for collaboration from different tourist resources in Donostia/San Sebastián on the press trips we organise. To justify this collaboration, we ask that you accredit your application with a letter of accreditation from the editor/director of the media outlet that will publish your article on Donostia/San Sebastián. We would also appreciate it if you could submit at least two articles published in the last 12 months.

Press kit

We’ll provide you with a press kit when you arrive to the city that includes a city map, a sightseeing guide and the press pack. We can also help with any additional information you might need.

Help with travel to Donostia/San Sebastián

In some cases, foreign Spanish Tourist Offices (OET) can help with travel to Donostia/San Sebastián. If you like, we can give you the name of the person you should contact to evaluate your request. Accommodation

We work with our partner hotels to organise accommodation for journalists. We cannot always offer free rooms, as it depends on the interest shown by the hotels.

Avoid peak season

We do not sponsor press trips in high season (June, July, August and September) or those on dates that coincide with major events and festivals, since the city’s tourism resources and accommodations are fully booked during these times.

Filming and photo sessions

San Sebastián Film Commission. A local Donostia/San Sebastián agency provides an end-to-end service that handles the licenses required for filming and holding photo sessions in the city. For further information, please contact www.fomentosansebastian.eus/filmcommission

The personal data provided on the form appearing in the Donostia San Sebastián Turismoa website will be processed by this body according to the stipulations of the Personal Data Protection Act (Organic Act 15/1999, of 13 December).

The user authorizes Donostia San Sebastián Turismoa to process the details provided and to add said details to its automated files. These files are administrative in nature and are used to send you newsletters and to send out Donostia San Sebastián Turismoa communications.

The user accepts that their details may be passed on for the purposes of providing corporate services strictly limited to the circulation of business-related information and can exercise their right to access, rectify, oppose and/or cancel said details, either by contacting San Sebastián Turismo S.A.
